Jennifer Aniston is a Goree Girl for 1940's prison flick

Jennifer Aniston is to star in debut director Michael Sucsy's GOREE GIRLS, a new film about the eight women who formed one of the first all-girl Country and Western acts in the USA. The act, formed in a Texas prison in the 1940's, became a public favorite and were eventually pardoned.

jennifer_aniston.jpgSucsy is currently putting pen to paper to do a rewrite on a John Lee Hancock draft of the film's screenplay, which was originally written by Margaret Nagle, which was based on a 2003 Texas Monthly article by Skip Hollandsworth.
